Gascoigne Estate

1200 new homes in Barking, rejuvenating a community based estate.

East Thames have partnered with the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham to fund and redevelop the eastern half of the Gascoigne estate, providing over 1200 new homes across two phases as part of the council’s Estate Renewal programme.

Tully De’Ath has been involved as part of the principle team since December 2013 providing Structural and Civil Engineering advice, site wide to East Thames and the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham. These have included full Flood Risk Assessments, drainage strategies; including diversions, and structural solutions informed by site investigations including contamination and UXO.

Following achievement of planning permission, approval from the Environment Agency and technical approval from Thames Water Phases A1, B1 and B2 are now being built.

Tully De’Ath are excited to be involved with the provision of this new community based scheme, utilising their in-depth knowledge of the site as a whole to de-risk the detailed design process of both phases.

Tully De’Ath have been appointed by East Thames to undertake Masterplanning services on the proposed redevelopment of Bromley by Bow.

The aim of the development is to replace derelict and under-utilized industrial space with a high quality mixed use development. As well as providing a range of new employment space, the scheme will create an attractive and accessible riverside environment.
