Three courtyard blocks of four to eight storey flats
The Ocean Estate regeneration scheme is one of the UK's largest regeneration projects. The £47m new build programme is one part of a £200m regeneration scheme. This new build development is one phase of a major, area-wide regeneration and represents the third phase in the area with which Tully De'Ath have been involved.
The development consists of 3 courtyard blocks each including a range of four to eight storey flats.
'...transportation, highways, site level, structural configuration and drainage...'
This extensive project was won in open tender during a highly competitive time for the construction industry. Extensive value engineering has been undertaken with Tully De'Ath leading the way on defining thin post tensioned slabs and short displacement piling. In combination these initiatives have resulted in significant savings over alternative designs.
Innovative structural design has been accompanied by intricate civil engineering design combining porous paving soakaways, attenuations and shared surfaces.
