Latitude Walk

Innovative housing for first time buyers

Latitude walk consists of a total of 30 apartments suitable for first time buyers. There are 12 x one bedroom apartments, 5 x two bedroom apartments and maisonettes and 3 x three bedroom maisonettes. All are available on a ‘part buy / part rent’ basis.

The government funded HomeBuy initiative helps first time buyers get a foot on the property ladder by purchasing a share of a new home – usually between 25 and 75%. At a later stage, further shares can be purchased until it is owned outright.

'One of the first new builds following a major redevelopment of Ashford's one way system...'

One of the first new builds following a major redevelopment of Ashford’s one way system, the project featured some interesting design features that required Tully De’Ath’s engineering expertise to see through to completion.

Transfer Slabs and cantilever balconies were part of the design - some hidden behind an impressive tile slide roof. On site contamination consisting of ground gas was remedied by a passive gas ventilation system.

Section 278 work was undertaken by Tully De’Ath to enable the reconstruction of East Street and to obtain licenses’ for over-sailing balconies that were integral to the design.
