Redevelopment Of The Southmere Village Site
The proposed redevelopment of Southmere Village comprises of:
- The provision of 296 new dwellings
- New community green square
- New shops
- A new library
- A variety of dwelling types and tenures
The aim of the Southmere Village regeneration is to revitalise the area and unlock the Estate's potential by providing new housing, promoting local employment initiatives, improving retail and developing a culture of social enterprise. The scheme also aims to address the health inequalities by increasing choice and opportunities and upgrading public amenities
Tully De'Ath are providing structural and civil design services for the scheme. The Structural design is being undertaken in Autodesk Revit through a BIM framework that allows the design team to work closely together on a shared design model.
The scheme consists of four blocks ranging between five and twelve stories and includes an estate plant room and community library .The blocks are concrete frame construction.
Ground floor car parks and commercial units feature throughout.
