Regeneration Of The South Kilburn Estate
The Scheme is delivering 208 quality new homes for rent and private sale on this phase of regeneration – including Wells Court, Cambridge Court, Ely Court, Bond House, Hicks Bolton House and Wood House.
The work will involve demolition of a number of blocks of flats, and replacing them with new, low rise modern apartments.
The scheme consists of several mixed tenure blocks of 5 / 6 storeys. Cambridge Court, Bond House and Hicks Bolton House are a mixture of traditional and RC frame construction. The remaining blocks are traditional construction.
'Within a BIM framework Tully De'Ath are providing structural design within Revit to match the Architects initial models.'
The site has several challenges including replacing a Victorian brick built retaining structure on Cambridge Avenue and designing close to the existing London Underground tube line for Kilburn Park that runs next to Cambridge Court.
The design of the scheme is being undertaken with AutoDesk Revit. Within a BIM framework Tully De'Ath are providing structural design within Revit to match the Architects initial models.
Tully De'Ath are also involved with the provision of highway and drainage design for the scheme. The drainage design includes Sustainable Urban Drainage Facilities (SUDS) as part of its Code for Sustainable Homes 'Level 3' design rating.
